General Rules
  1. Participants must carefully read the event terms, conditions, and arrangements. By submitting their registration, participants indicate their compliance and acceptance of all event terms, conditions, and arrangements introduced by the organizers/event planners herein and thereafter.
  2. Participants understand and agree that the event is voluntary in nature. Participants are willing to assume all risks and responsibilities and do not have the right to claim compensation or hold the organizers, including the event organizers and sponsors/support organizations, liable for injuries, accidents, deaths, or any form of loss occurring during or as a result of traveling to and from the event venue or participating in the event.
  3. Each participant must ensure that their physical health is suitable for participating in the event. In cases of doubt, the organizers/event planners reserve the right to disqualify any participant deemed unsuitable, and the concerned parties must abide by the decision of the organizers/event planners.
  4. Participants must ensure that the information provided on the registration form is accurate.
  5. The organizers/event planners reserve the right to close registration early without prior notice.
  6. The organizers/event planners reserve the right to reject any successful registrations and refund the registration fees.
  7. Participants must meet the age requirements for each event; those who violate this rule will be immediately disqualified.
  8. If a participant's actions, negligence, or deliberate sabotage during the event result in additional expenses for the organizers/event planners, the participant must provide reasonable compensation.
  9. Participants agree that staff, medical personnel, or the event director have the authority to ask a participant to withdraw from the event and revoke their participation eligibility.
  10. Before receiving awards, the event organizers have the right to request winners to present identification documents, including Hong Kong identity cards, passports, etc., to verify their identity.
  11. The organizers will not purchase public liability insurance for participants. To ensure personal safety, participants should purchase personal accident insurance and any other suitable insurance as needed.
  12. The organizers reserve the right to disqualify and nullify the results of any participants who violate or fail to comply with any Hong Kong laws and regulations, venue regulations, or event rules, and to prohibit and refuse their participation in and attendance at any future events or activities organized by the event. The registration fee of disqualified participants will not be refunded.
  13. These terms and conditions include both English and Chinese versions. In case of any discrepancy between the English and Chinese versions, the Chinese version shall prevail.
  14. The organizers/event planners reserve the right to change the event terms and conditions. In case of any disputes, the organizers/event planners retain the ultimate decision-making authority.
Event Rules
  1. The participant's age is calculated based on their date of birth.
  2. The participant's age and gender will be based on identification documents, and the organizers have the right to request participants to provide identification documents for verification.
  3. Each participant must ensure that their physical health is suitable for participating in and completing the event. If in doubt, please consult a doctor for advice. The organizers/event planners reserve the right to cancel the participation rights of any unsuitable participants and the concerned parties must accept the decision of the organizing body.
  4. During the race, all participants must wear their race bibs.
  5. Participants are responsible for keeping their race bibs safe. A re-issuance of the race bib will incur an administrative fee of HK$50.
  6. Race bibs and timing chips must not be transferred to others.
  7. Participants must not harass or obstruct other participants during the event. Violators will be disqualified and asked to leave the event venue.
  8. Cheating is strictly prohibited during the event. Violators will be disqualified upon detection.
  9. All awards and rankings will be based on the gun time set by the organizers.
  10. In case of any disputes regarding awards and rankings, the organizers/event planners reserve the ultimate decision-making authority.
  11. Participants who complete the event within the designated time limit can download their electronic certificates.
  12. Participants who violate any event rules will have their participation eligibility revoked and will not receive any awards or certificates. The registration fees paid will not be refunded.
Appeals
  1. Any appeals must be submitted to the organizers within 15 minutes after the publication of the respective category's results.
  2. Appeals will only be accepted on the day of the race; no appeals will be entertained after 15 minutes following the announcement of results.
  3. In case of disputes, the organizers/event planners retain the ultimate decision-making authority.
Baggage Storage
  1. Participants can store their personal items in the baggage storage area provided by the organizers. Valuable items should not be stored, and the organizers will not be liable for any damage or loss. Participants using this arrangement are deemed to have accepted these terms.
Event Cancellation and Refunds
  1. The organizers/event planners reserve the right to cancel or shorten the event due to the following reasons and will not refund the registration fees:
    1. Inclement weather
      • If Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above is hoisted by the Hong Kong Observatory on the event day at 6 am, the event will be canceled.
      • If Red or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted by the Hong Kong Observatory on the event day at 9 am, the Event Director has the authority to delay the start time or cancel the event.
      • If inclement weather or any of the above warnings occur during the event, the Event Director has the authority to change the event route or cancel the ongoing event.
    2. Landslides, mudslides, wildfires on the event venue/route
    3. Protests, demonstrations, or road closures/blockages on the event route
    4. Force majeure events that are beyond the control of the organizers/event planners and make it impossible, unsafe, or impractical to hold the event. Force majeure events include but are not limited to natural disasters, wars, hostilities, invasions, rebellions, revolutions, uprisings, riots, strikes, lockouts, work stoppages, bans on work or unrest, disease outbreaks, as well as acts and threats of terrorism.
  2. Registration fees are non-refundable for all successfully registered participants except for those rejected by the organizers/event planners.
  3. Transfer of slots: Participants can transfer their slots to others until January 15th at the latest, with an administrative fee of HK$50.
  4. If a participant allows another person to use their race bib/event slot, both the participant and the proxy runner will be disqualified and not allowed to participate in future events.
  5. The organizers/event planners reserve the right to cancel the results of any individuals who breach, violate, or fail to comply with any event regulations. If a participant is disqualified, the registration fee will not be refunded.
  6. The organizers/event planners have the right to modify and interpret the above rules. Any temporary changes or cancellations related to the event will be announced on the race website or Facebook page. Participants are advised to stay updated on these platforms.
