At RUN, we support vulnerable refugees, particularly women, to build resilience and nurture self-reliance for a more hopeful future. With sport as the springboard and education as the foundation, we help refugees to create a life of safety and dignity, in Hong Kong and beyond.
The RUN Race is held in support of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and Girls, which is held every 25 November. We unite as a community to raise awareness for this, an issue that remains one of the most prevalent human rights violations in the world and one that is all too relatable to our participants. To show our support we wear orange - we ‘Orange the World’. Please join us on race day in your orange outfits and accessories. There will be a prize for the best orange outfit on the day!
Our Race is also an opportunity for you to experience first-hand the diversity of talents that our participants bring to our community - For many this race represents another challenge on their journey to healing, freedom, and advancement. They each work tirelessly to reach their goals and we are excited to see them test themselves on the trails. If you see them out there, make sure to cheer them on and give them a high-five!
