The Raleigh Challenge – Wilson Trail (RCWT) is back in 2024! After 5 years, the full physical version of RCWT will be held again on 19th to 20th October 2024. The Raleigh Challenge - Wilson Trail has been organised since 2000, and this year is the 24th edition of the event!The 2024 edition will be a special one as it features 40th Anniversary of Raleigh Hong Kong. Solo Category is newly added for your challenge. The Raleigh Challenge – Wilson Trail with three classic routes, including the "Whole Course 80km", "Day Course 30km" and "Night Course 40km". Whether you are a novice hiker or trail runner or an experienced elite, there is always a route that suits for you.
The Raleigh Challenge – Wilson Trail will continue to be the central axis of this year's race, starting from Hong Kong Island and spanning Kowloon to Sha Tau Kok. Participants will start from Tai Tam Reservoir Road, take the MTR from Quarry Bay Station to Yau Tong, connect to the Gin Drinkers Line to Shing Mun Reservoir, then pass through Pat Sin Leng, and then drop down to the Sha Tau Kok International School to complete the race, which is a total length of 80 kilometres, with a cumulative ascent of 4,000 metres. It is a great way to challenge yourself and enjoy the unique scenery of Hong Kong's countryside and urban areas, as well as a glimpse of Hong Kong's war history along the way at the same time.
The Raleigh Challenge – Wilson Trail raise fund to to support youth volunteering for environmental protection and community improvement so that more young people will have the opportunity to participate in overseas volunteering and make a difference in the world.
